Straight from the Silencerco press release. “The biggest announcement at Maxim Vice was the reveal of the Maxim 9 – an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol.  Never before has a company successfully managed to produce a handgun with an integral silencer that is holsterable and hearing safe with any factory ammunition.  This product is primed to take the industry by storm, and we’re proud to to show it to you – our loyal SilencerCo supporters – first.

We’re keeping exact product details under wraps since it is still in the final design stages, but one thing is certain – the Maxim 9 will forever change the way people think about firearms when they realize that there is no longer any reason guns have to be loud.”

Will it be California compliant/legal/on the approved list?

Tough to say as many of the details on the pistol have not been released. How tough is it to get a silencer in California?

It is not possible at all to get a silencer here. And no threaded barrels. That is why I was wondering if it is actually part of the weapon will they try to get it on the roster. California has ridiculously stupid laws on hand guns. They have a roster. Every hand gun sold here has to be on that roster. EVERY one. If you like “X” gun and it is on the roster, but you want it in stainless instead of blued, one might be on the roster and the other not. Every company has to pay to get every different weapon they WANT to sell her on the roster, so many companies will only put a few on the roster because they don’t want to spend stupid amounts of money to get everything they sell on there. We are very limited compared to other states as to what is available to us.It SUCKS!
