There are times where I get a product in for review and after using it a few times I wonder how I made it so long without. The Fix It Stick All In One Kit (Amazon) (Brownells) is one of those products.

I’ve used a Wheeler FAT wrench (Amazon) (Brownells) for many years and it has served me well. Once I encountered the Fix It system while at a long range rifle class a couple years ago I knew I had to have one. I finally got my hands on the all in one kit this winter and have been using it a few month now, enough time for me to inform my review.

The all in one kit comes in a compact zippered case storing the included 16 bits along with the t-handle and torque driver.

You’ll notice the key word driver, not limiter. Fix It Sticks is known for their kits that include torque limiters, which just release and spin when the desired torque is achieved. That style requires you to have multiple limiters in each torque value you want.

The torque driver included in the all in one kit instead uses a spring loaded cylinder that allows you to choose a torque from 15 to 65 in pounds. It does rely on the user to release torque when the hash mark indicates the desired torque. The all in one driver does not auto release like the dedicated limiters.

It’s important to note that the driver is only used for tightening, do not use it to remove fasteners. For that simply remove the driver bit and use the t-handle by itself.

I’ve used the all in one kit multiple times in the last few months, mostly installing optics. As a gun reviewer I find myself swapping optics way too often, and the all in one kit has really simplified the process. The compact case allows it to easily slip into my range bag, one of the downsides to the FAT wrench was its bulky case.

If you don’t think you need the torque driver but still want all the bits and compact-ness I’d suggest the multi tool. (Amazon) It includes similar bits, and t-handle that breaks down and everything stores in a rubber tool holder.

All in all, I don’t think you can go wrong with the Fix It Stick setup. Check out their full lineup of different kits and attachments on their website: Fix It Sticks
