Glock introduces the Glock 45 9X19 crossover pistol.

SMYRNA, Ga. – Sep 24, 2018 Today, GLOCK, Inc. announced a new addition to the 9X19 family of pistols featuring the latest in design and engineering seen in the 5th Generation of GLOCK pistols. The GLOCK 45 combines the fast handling of the GLOCK 19 compact-sized slide with the full-size frame as a compact Crossover.

“After the release of the G19X, we saw a strong interest from the law enforcement community for the design in a black model,” said GLOCK, Inc. VP Josh Dorsey.

The G45 incorporates elements of the 5th Generation of GLOCK pistols including a smoother trigger pull, an enhanced frame texture for sure handling, a reversible magazine catch, ambidextrous slide stop lever, the Modular Backstrap System (MBS) for individual adjustability and the incredibly accurate, match-grade GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB).  The G45 also features front serrations which are precision-milled forward of the ejection port on both sides.

The GLOCK Compact Crossover Pistol Model G45 will make its debut at The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference and will be available on dealer shelves beginning October 5th.

Black is better than the gold. I see there is another want in my Glock needs. I’ll wait until the fervor and prices drop down.

I’ve never been a Glock guy but I kinda like the 19x, and now with the G45 I may have to pick one up and do it as a Roland Special.

But G45?? Yeah, I’m thinking they could have used a number that made more sense…

I got the email from Glock just before Hunter sent out his notice. I also got a notice of the 17, and 19MOS models. Why not a 45MOS while they’re at it?

    Well a Gen 5 17/19MOS

Glock seems to have gotten into a quick turnaround mode under the new management. I wonder what is next.

Full size .380? They have them already in Europe.

This is a 9mm Lugar Glock.

Yes we know. They have the G25, and G28 in Europe. They are .380’s.

Are you talking about for warranty? I recently bought 2 G4 ODG’s. A 17, and a 19. The finish on the slides looked like muddy hands were on them. I bought them at Rural King. I had the manager send them back. Less than 2 weeks they were back and pretty. Every gunstore I have talked to has to oil and polish the 4’s to clean up how crappy they look. A Glock certified armorer/FFL told me he thinks a Gen5 is coming in G22. The 5’s are a 2 pin frame. If they do a G5 will it be a 2 pin frame? Let us know Hunter!

    Just doesn’t make sense to call it a Glock 45. I have a Glock 45. It’s a G30s.
