Bitterroot Tool and Machine, Alpha Loading Systems.
Bitterroot Tool and Machine began operation in 1999 in Bitterroot Valley, western Montana. They
incorporate precision tooling and a skilled workforce to deliver quality, reliability and efficiency in the machine and tool industry. Excelling at specialty tool and die manufacture, with innovative approaches. BTM was certified ISO 9001:2008 in 2009 and has maintained that certification to date.
Excellence must be engineered from the onset, before the tool and die machines are fired up. The entire process is about quality and value keeping prices competitive.
BTM serves the dental, ammunition, firearm, security and aerospace industries but in this article we will be featuring the Alpha Loading System
Bitterroot machines commercial reloading equipment fit for large manufactures as well as smaller municipalities and gun clubs.
Specifically, we will be looking into the Alpha Loading Systems. Here is a short video showing the system in operation.
The Alpha Loading System Priming Machine is revolutionizing the loading industry. The innovation begins by removing the priming process from the actual loading. As any reloader will tell you, having a stack of primers in a tube in close proximity to a propellant hopper could pose an issue, if one of the primers were to detonate. Unlikely event but possible.
An inclined feeding mechanism in the priming system delivers the primers from the vibratory bowl, to keep them
from stacking on top one another, to the system. This eliminates the potential for detonating primers during the operation. Primer seating happens in a closed environment away from the feeding mechanism, eliminating backfire in the primer bowl.
By using a rotary motion disc with hardened steel inserts, each case is consistently primed. Having the option of adjusting the depth during operation.
The Alpha loading system incorporates a touchscreen display control showing instant PPM, PPH, daily product records to seven days, giving an accurate account of machine use. By combining quality, simplicity and design, the Alpha loading system is a primer machine that will run millions of rounds with very little wear or downtime. Also, it is not caliber specific. there are two primer machines one for large primers and the other for small primers. With a changeover kit, the machine can be changed quickly to different calibers in the same primer size.
Incorporating, just the priming system into your existing large scale reloading operation will increase production up to 50% and in the event of a problem most of the system is user serviceable.
Be it the complete Alpha Loading System or the Priming System itself coupled with your loading system, you can have a high volume professional loading press that could service hunting/gun clubs, police or military ranges, and larger companies that need a stand along machine for a dedicated round without having to retool machines often to switch calibers.
If you are looking to get into or upgrading your loading system, the Alpha Loading System is worth investigating.
do you sell the holbrook device that fits in the m-1 garand?
No sir.
I work in safety consulting and have a client who uses this Alpha loading system: BTM. I am trying to assemble a JSA (Job Safety Analysis) on this particular piece of equipment. Would you have any suggestions for me, as to where I could get a start?
Thanks,
My best guess would be to contact Bitterroot Tool and Machine. They offered very little support for the article I published. Sorry.
I have this problem i cant figure out, case tube fault like nobodys biz somehow sensors will not restart the motor to drop more cases when sensor detects low cases
Looked everywhere for a troubleshooting guide thia ia the only problem im having, cases will reload when reset ia held, but will not start back u automatically…
Heath, I did a small piece of the equipment based off of an interview and specs. You would need to contact them directly for that answer.
