A few months ago I had the opportunity to tour the High Speed Gear factory, you can read that review by following this link. During that visit, we assembled our battle belts for use the next day for the SIG Sauer Media Day After the media was over HSGI allowed us to take the battle belts home and wring them out. I have had the past few months to use the belt in a few local matches as well as many a training session and it is the same as if it were still new.
The Battle Belt is laser cut to accept MOLLE accessories as well as designed so another belt, such as a rigger’s belt, is woven into it, so it is compatible with belt retained accessories.
The back side of the outer belt is neoprene, which gives good lumbar support, comfort, and helps keep the belt in place.
High Speed Gear offers a polymer Taco pouches and due to the shock cord allowing for some give, so the pouch can easily retain a magazine, flashlight, and so on.
Closest to the end of the double Cordura Taco pouch and then the Double Decker Taco pouch incorporating a rifle and pistol magazine pouch but keeping the footprint down.
Here you can see the laser cuts slots, making the Battle Belt compatible with MOLLE with the riggers belt laced just below. To the left is a compact dumb pouch compatible with MOLLE.
I have been shooting matches for some years now, and have been running a bit of a cobbled together rig, and while it served it’s purpose, when going to a dedicated battle belt built specifically for the task, the difference is night and day. High Speed Gear not only caters to the competitor and shooter but their equipment is also tailored to military, law enforcement, and first responders. I was impressed with their facility and now I have had the chance to spend some time with their gear I am equally impressed. If you are in the market for an upgrade, upfit, or a complete replacement rig I would encourage you to take a look at the plethora of quality gear HSGI manufactures and take the opportunity to support an American company with American made products.
Hunter, this was a very good, had great information and suggestions.
Thank you.
