I have had the opportunity to review a couple of the pistols in the CZ P 10 line.
P10 M review and P10 C silencer ready, both quality pistols. I had the chance to review the P10 C at a reduced MSRP of $399. CZ has reduced the MSRP on many of its handguns.
First Impressions
While slightly larger than the P10 M, the P10 C is still small enough to be easily concealed. A Picatinny Rail on the dust cover is standard. The P10C features three interchangeable backstraps for a bit of customization to the grip area. The grip area is slightly aggressively textured to maintain a solid handgun purchase. Field stripping is similar to other striker-fired pistols: ensure the pistol is unloaded, withdraw the slide a bit, depress the takedown lever, then ride the slide home while depressing the trigger to allow the fall to be removed from the receiver.
Note rear and forward cocking serrations, ambidextrous textured slide stop, and the magazine release is swappable.
The three-dot sights are metal, and the rear is drift adjustable.
Three shots from a rest at 25 yards
Conclusions
During the review, we ran some 400 rounds through the P10C consisting of ball and jacketed hollow points, and there were zero issues with the pistol. With similar ergonomics as the CZ 75, the pistol was easily controllable. As far as striker-fired handguns go, which are not my favorite, the P10 line is by far my favorite. CZ has significantly reduced MSRP on much of its line, and quality has remained consistent while cost has decreased. With the features of the P10C, it would serve very well as a concealed carry or defensive pistol. I am completely satisfied with the pistol’s performance and would not hesitate to recommend it over other striker-fired handguns and many hammer-fired.
